Peugeot Motor Company
Sounds Exciting!
Each Christmas we seem to be receiving an unusual (and very welcome) present from the Peugeot Motor Company... The week before the holidays start Peugeot have a habit of giving the Carlton production team an interesting project that needs to be ready before the Christmas break.
Last year it was the production of six new car promo videos and filming from rally cars around a wet, foggy track... This year we are producing sixty nine (yes, sixty nine!) digital audio recordings with three voiceover narrators to promote the new Bipper and Tepee van range.
We look forward to this week each year, because we never know quite what to expect from Peugeot. It's always interesting and fun to create these programmes, and makes a change from the normal corporate work...

Asset Finance Distribution Conference & Awards Dinner 2007

Using two incredibly high powered multimedia projectors (stacked to double the screen brightness), the Carlton team completely filled the IMAX screen, measuring some 35 feet across, with event branding, PowerPoint graphics, live cameras, and pre-recorded video images. The team produced the video profiles of the contenders, technical and creative support, sound and plenty of effect lighting, together with a live recording of the overall event.

Carlton provided full technical and creative support for the event and also constructed a stylish, contemporary art gallery to display all the contenders' works. Technically the event was a real challenge, and Carlton's team positioned high powered LCD projectors outside on the balcony, projecting the multimedia images through plate glass windows onto the custom screens inside the main room. One of the talking points was certainly the posse of waitresses on roller skates serving drinks to the diners.
Afterwards the guests were whisked off to local bar Mechu to coninue the celebrations.

The Show Must Go On!
February brought along a series of unusual challenges for the Carlton team...all at once!
There was the largest single downfall of snow in the Midlands for about twenty years. This day was the very day that Kurt and Dave had to fly out to Switzerland to produce a three day European Distributor Conference. Airports at Gatwick, Heathrow, Luton, Cardiff, Stansted and Birmingham had already been closed due to weather conditions.
Karl had already spent 5 hours in the poor weather conditions at the side of the M40 when our two-week old van decided to break down, fully loaded! This was also Kurt's first event since a head injury in December...but, loaded up with ear-plugs, pain-killers and a woolly hat, Kurt and the team at Carlton Promotions once again came up with the goods!
Amazingly, everyone finally managed to get to the conference centre in Biel via various methods...and the show went ahead as originally planned.

"Of course we are very grateful to Peugeot for coming to us to produce the project...although a little more notice would have been lovely"...explained Carlton Director, Andrea Sinclair-Hall. "The programme was filmed partly on location at Peugeot's UK headquarters and the exciting moving sequences were recorded at the Pro-Drive test track in Warwickshire, where Peugeot's Product Managers and also qualified race drivers were filmed putting the new Sport and GTi models through their paces".
